Frequently Asked Questions
How do I officially book my wedding date?
I will need a signed contract and 50% retainer to officially reserve your wedding date. The 50% retainer is non-refundable even if the date is changed or the Client cancels their session or contract.
Will you be the one shooting my wedding?
Yes! I am a one-woman show and will be present on your wedding day! You can opt for a second shooter as an add-on to any package.
How long have you been shooting weddings?
I have been shooting weddings for about eight years. I started by filming weddings and then progressed into doing photography as well. I truly adore both art forms. They are so different, yet tell your story in their own unique way. My goal is to capture your authentic emotions.
Have you ever shot a wedding at our ceremony and reception venues? If not, do you plan to check the locations out in advance?
I have shot at my fair share of venues and I am adaptable to any type of setting. If it is a venue that I have not shot at before, I prepare by doing research on the venue so I know what to expect in terms of lighting, surrounding areas, etc.
How would you describe your photography style?
Documentary style is my approach to weddings. I consider my style to be fun and spontaneous, while intentional and thoughtful. I enjoy capturing people as they are. I love natural light, but can have fun with an on-camera flash. I am drawn to natural colors, but love a pop of color. When I am framing my shot, I am imagining that this image will appear in a magazine spread.
How would you describe your working style? Do you prefer to blend into the background to capture candid moments, or do you like to be more visible and take charge to choreograph images?
It’s honestly a balance of both! During the ceremony and reception, I prefer to be a wallflower and capture moments as they are. During family photos or group shots, it does require that I am more visible to direct everyone in the image. During couple photos, I will softly direct you into natural poses.
Do you shoot digitally? With film? Or both?
I love this question! Film is an add-on to any package. The cost depends on the type of film and the cost of developing. The types of film can vary — 35mm, 120, Super 8, or Instax/Polaroids. For example, if you choose me to be your photographer, you can add on a Super 8 film to your package. The film will be up to 3-minutes long.
Can I customize a package to fit my needs?
Yes! You can customize any package to better fit your needs. This includes editing preferences!
How long after the wedding will we receive the images or film? How will they be delivered?
Photography turnaround is 24-hours for sneak peeks and 1-2 months for the full gallery. Video turnaround is 2-4 months. They are delivered virtually via online download and must be downloaded within 2-months of delivery.
Do you charge a travel fee?
Southern California locations outside of a 50-mile radius from Corona, require a mileage fee of $0.58/mile to your location from Corona. Out-of-state or International locations require airfare, hotel accommodations for 1-2 nights, and a rental car.
